  • The true life insurance product has not changed much for 25 years. It will not change as long as career life insurance agents do not fall into the trap of selling investment vehicles as life insurance. Life insurance agents sell a death benefit for widows, orphans, businesses, creditors, and any other entity which suffers a loss when the income producer is no longer there to produce income. Agents do this with conviction, belief, and experience. Some salespeople are using the guise of financial planning as a ploy to sell ill-conceived products to an unsuspecting public. True life insurance agents need not be afraid of competition. History has proven that if agents place the client's best interest above their own, false competitors will be purged from the marketplace.
