Daoist chongxuan xue, Twofold Mystery teaching, was an important trend of Daoist philosophy in the early Tang Dynasty. Its philosophy links Daoism with Buddhism. Thiis complex Daoist philosophy has been studied and discussed so far as a sophisticated combination of Buddhist Madhyamika teachings and Daoist teachings mainly of the Daode Jing and the lingbao tradition. Thieauthor examines whether this teaching could be related to the Yijingstudies of its time.
