• Szeman discusses the Romani artist Tibor Balogh's installation 'Rain of Tears' in the Hidden Holocaust exhibition at the Mucsarnok in Budapest (2004) and the revised version of the installation for the Roma Pavilion in Venice (2007), which took place at the same time as that year's Venice Biennale. The performative aspects of the installation forced the audience to remember the Romani Holocaust and dislodged the centrality of the mono-ethnic nation from the writing of history.
