All-solid-state lithium batteries (ASSLBs) have received increasing attention due to the advantages of safety and energy density. The solid-state electrolytes(SSEs) is the main components in ASSLBs. Especially, in recent years, Inorganic SSEs have made a progress. Inorganic SSEs systems mainly include oxide SSEs, sulfide SSEs, and halide SSEs. The typical inorganic SSEs have an ionic conductivity of ~10−3 S/cm at room temperature, which is close to the level of ionic conductivity of liquid electrolytes. Herein, a comprehensive understanding of the development, material properties, and challenges of the inorganic SSEs above is provided. Personal viewpoints of SSEs research are presented.
A satisfactory solid‐state electrolyte should have high stability, lithium ion conductivity and machinability. To achieve these excellent properties in solid state electrolytes, a variety of modification strategies have been studied and applied. [Display omitted]
