• The areas treated by Hans Glinz (b. 1913) comprise theory of grammar, theory of text, grammar of German, contrastive linguistics, orthography and didactics of linguistics. Glinz is one of the most outstanding authors in the realm of German and general linguistics, especially in the area of syntax. His dissertation on the history of the sentence constituents has been quoted frequently. His most remarkable work is his book Die innere Form des Deutschen, in which he elaborated new methods for analyzing sentences.
