Statistical Yearbook is one of the main publications of the Statistical Office, which has a long tradition of monitoring the development and changes in the territory of Slovenia. It offers a comprehensive insight into the social and economic life in Slovenia by presenting a wide range of statistics about Slovene population and economy. Data are arranged in more than 500 tables as well as charts and maps and grouped into 33 thematic chapters. Most of the chapters cover one topic at the level of the entire Slovenia; certain chapters review the data at different spatial distributions: statistical regions, municipalities and urban areas. A special chapter is devoted to the international comparison of Slovenia with other EU Member States. Each chapter also contains the most important methodological notes on the statistical monitoring of events and dissemination, which is intended to help users to understand the data correctly.
