• Resumen: Este artículo resulta de la investigaciónque busca sensibilizar y visibilizar el currículum ocultoen la cartilla Nacho, de la cual se han vendido muchosmillones en varios países latinoamericanos durante másde cuatro décadas. Dicha investigación, se llevó a cabousando el método descriptivo, una revisión bibliográfica yentrevistas, en la cual 150 personas fueron interrogadas,incluyendo hombres y mujeres de diferentes estratos deldepartamento del Atlántico, cuyas edades estaban entre16 a 42 años, que tuvieron la cartilla Nacho como textoen su educación primaria. Se encontró que la cartillaNacho reafirma la exclusión y la subordinación de clase,género y etnia a través de su currículum oculto textualy visual, lo cual es una limitante para el desarrollointegral de hombres y mujeres y por tanto de la sociedad.Además, se privilegia en textos e imágenes a la religióncatólica, excluyendo a otras religiones. Es necesaria lacreación de modelos pedagógicos que no hagan de lasdiferencias un motivo de exclusión.Palabras claves: currículum oculto, cartilla Nacho, exclusión, género, clase y etnicidadThe Hidden Curriculum in Primary SchoolTextbooks: The Nacho ABC BookAbstract: This article is the result of research that aimsto raise awareness and make visible the hidden curriculumon the Nacho ABC book, which has sold millions ofbooks in several Latin American countries during morethan four decades. The research was conducted usingthe descriptive method, a review of the literature andinterviews of 150 persons, including men, women fromthe different social strata of Atlántico Department whoseages were between 16 to 42 years, and who were taughtwith this reader. It was found that the Nacho early readerreinforces exclusion and subordination by reasons ofsocial class, gender and ethnicity through its textualand visual hidden curriculum, which is a limiting factorfor the integral development of men and women, andtherefore of society. Texts and images show only Catholicchurches, excluding other religions. It is necessary tocreate pedagogical models that do not make socialdifferences a reason for exclusion.Key words: hidden curriculum, Nacho ABC book, exclusion, gender, class and ethnicity
