• Allaire is currently incorporating the J2EE technology into its new Java Application Server, JRun 3.0, announced at JavaOne(SM), Sun's worldwide developers' conference last month (See: Allaire Announces Java Application Server for the Mass Enterprise, June 5, 2000). JRun 3.0 is a full, clean-room implementation of the J2EE specifications and a key component of the Allaire Business Platform. "Allaire is deeply committed to Java and the underlying principles of the Java Community Process(SM) (JCP), including cooperation on standards and compatibility testing across application servers," said Jeremy Allaire, chief technology officer for Allaire. "By licensing the J2EE technology, we will be able to ensure the compatibility of Allaire's enterprise Java technologies with the industry standards and continue to give customers innovative and open solutions to their Internet business challenges."
