• The most interesting surviving discussions of Rom. 5:7, and Paul's use of the words 'just' and 'good' in this verse, are written in Latin, but reflect the preoccupations of early Greek exegesis. They are Rufinus' translation of Origen's Commentary on Romans and Jerome's Epistle 121 section 7. Summarizes these two sources and attempts to reconstruct from them what Origen originally wrote in his comments on Rom. 5:7.
