• Mark Blaug passed away recently on Nov 18, 2011. Born in The Hague, the Netherlands, on Apr 3, 1927, he had chosen to live in Devon, near Tavistock, several years ago and had taken British citizenship. He was educated rst in Amsterdam, later in England (during the war). He then set off to America in the nal years of the war to complete high school and entered University. He got his MA (1952) and PhD (1955) in New York from the Columbia University. He was a Professor Emeritus of the University of London and a Visiting Professor to the University of Amsterdam and the Erasmus University at Rotterdam. Of course, through his life, he had been teaching in a number of Universities all over the world. He was a member of the British Academy.
