In 2020, the Poison Control Centre received 2575 phone calls reporting 2648 cases. The most prevalent age groups were infants and preschool children (from birth to 5 years; 48 % of total number of patients with known age group) and adults (42 %). Most commonly reported drugs were psychoactive drugs (45 % of all drug poisonings), including neuroleptics, benzodiazepines, antidepressants and hypnotics, followed by analgesics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (17 %) and cardiac drugs (12 %). Based on circumstances of exposure, risk of harmful effects was suspected in 59 of the 81 cases involving pesticide exposure.
