It is truly remarkable that in "De visione Dei," Nicholas of Cusa's summary of mystical theology, he treats the Trinity at great length, and, as the high point and completion of the whole book, he presents Jesus Christ as the mediator of the vision of God and of divine sonship. However, the "De visione Dei" does not thematize Christ's death on the cross.
