This editorial introduces the current issue of Experimental Psychology. Experimental Psychology is one of the few journals for which the widely shared goal of open data has already become reality. Since 2015, authors have the option to also share other electronic supplements—for instance, materials or methods, additional analyses and results—alongside the electronic version of the article on the journal ’s website. The editor is especially glad to see the first Registered Report appear in the current issue. It investigated a moderating variable that successfully explained why an independent lab failed to replicate an Affective Priming effect. The article nicely illustrates how an adversarial collaboration can make excellent use of this new format to settle an open empirical question.
