Beschreibungen/Notizen
Mao Zedong's legacy has an enduring global impact, as both a political foundation for the Chinese revolution and an ideology of revolution. This paper offers a brief account of Maoism as a knowledge and a theory of (alternative) modernity, and questions the contradictory and problematic nature of Maoism within the context of globalization. Meanwhile, I wish to point out some conditions of possibility embedded in such a genealogy of knowledge, which may open up some new conceptual and theoretical space for thinking about and rethinking globalization.
