• This paper explores the transmission of creativity across generations of the author's family from a personal perspective. This transmission occurs on several levels. It ranges from what one observes and breathes in their early childhood environment to the absorption of unconscious elements of unlived and unloved aspects of their parents' lives. Emergent and numinous aspects of this transmission and their relationship to individuation are discussed.
