• Hasitschka et al present the epistemological foundations of a new area of research in the social sciences called "cultural institutions studies," which has recently been developed at the Institute of Culture Management and Culture Studies of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Using interdisciplinary--organizational, political, and sociological--theories, they create an extensive and convincing broad narrative of present and future research discourse.
