j
H
c,
J
r and (
BH)
max correlations were experimentally studied for a series of Pr
x
Fe
94−
x
B
6 alloys, with
x ranging from 6 to 20
at%. The results show that the variation of the Pr content and the casting parameters yielded to
j
H
c ranging from values near 0 to∼2200
kA/m.
J
r increased at the expense of
j
H
c in agreement with some theoretical investigations related to
J
r/
j
H
c relationship. This behaviour changed for
j
H
c values lower than ∼200
kA/m, where
J
r and
j
H
c diminish together. (
BH)
max showed a similar behaviour to
J
r up to values of
j
H
c ∼450
kA/m (30% α-Fe) where a maximum was observed and then a decrease with reducing
j
H
c. The results are analysed and discussed based on theoretical and experimental investigations carried out by some other workers and compared with results reported for the NdFeB system.
