A dissertation on the magnitude of the year : containing an historical account of time, from the earliest ages down to the present; The Method practised by the Ancients, for ascertaining the true Measure and Magnitude of the Year, explained; and the Result of their Calculations compared, from a Table of the Magnitudes of the Years, Siderial as well as Tropical, calculated by the most eminent Astronomers, both ancient and modern; the Instruments used by the Ancients, for that Purpose, explained; and the Errors incurred by Julius Caesar and Pope Gregory's Method clearly pointed out.
