• A reply to "The burthen of Issachar" (Wing M1379), which is an edition of John Maxwell's "An answer by letter to a worthy gentleman who desired of a divine some reasons by which it might appeare how inconsistent presbyteriall government is with monarchy"; and to "A declaratioun of the Kings Majesties intentioun and meaning toward the lait actis of Parliament" by Patrick Adamson (STC 21949). - Annotation on Thomason copy: "Aug: 1st". - In two parts, each with separate pagination and register.
