  • With the rapid development of information technology, the impact of video games on teenagers is becoming increasingly prominent. Due to the support of the game learning theory, students will have more learning interest and efficiency when video games were integrating into learning. In this paper, a game teaching mode which is suitable for teenagers’ programming learning was developed, and it is designed based on the sandbox game Minecraft. Moreover, the author has designed some teaching activities, learning strategies and teaching cases. According to following practice, this teaching method has been proven to enhance the effectiveness of teaching python programming in middle schools, especially in enhancing students’ interest in programming.
