• As the story is told, Willie Lynch was a British slave owner in the West Indies. The story goes on to say that Mr. Lynch was invited in 1712 to teach his methods of controlling black slaves to slave owners in what was then the colony of Virginia. It is said that Willie Lynch utilized methods of controlled identity construction as a primary means to create a mind-set of a sub-human, second class race of people, within the minds of both the slave and the rest of society.
