• Hepatitis C (HCV) is a common viral infection of the liver. It affects approximately 1.6% of the US population. Hepatitis C virus (HCV)screening in the appropriate populations is essential as Hepatitis C virus (HCV)signs and symptoms of the disease are generally absent. In addition, there are multiple new treatments for HCV which are extremely effective and very well tolerated. In this chapter, we describe a case of HCV in an asymptomatic patient. We discuss screening strategies, evaluation of the infection, and treatment options and outcomes.
