• This chapter examines the Counter Violent Extremism program, and the resistance to this program by some American Muslims. It investigates some entrapment cases involving American Muslims. It also assesses whether the CVE program is addressing white supremacists’ anarchism and terrorism. It discusses dehumanization in the name of national security and its impact on some American Muslims. The chapter also examines the de-radicalization process in Minneapolis in the USA, and in other countries. The chapter concludes that de-radicalization programs should adopt a holistic approach, such as incorporating a role for parents and imams, eradicating poverty and marginalization, addressing the dehumanization of Muslims, and fostering an inclusive outlook in the wider society.
