Now a day’s vehicular communication network (VCN) recognized as a pillar of intelligent transport system. It is a network of communicating vehicles, shares the awareness massage to the neighbouring vehicles which reduces the number of traffics collision and supports safety applications but as the traffics density increases safety applicants required high massages exchange among the vehicles and this causes channel congestion. This paper has been analysed the impact of vehicles density on channel congestion. SUMO NETEDIT 1.12.0 is used for the designing of road map and Network Simulator 2 is used for the simulation by considering IEEE802.11p standard. This paper evaluated network performance metrics include packet loss, end to end delay, instant and average throughput.
