The usability of smart band interface is very important to the user experience. The purpose of this research study was to explore the usability of different age groups in the operation of different smart band interfaces. The experiment was carried out by using a 3 × 2 mixed two-factor design. The experimental factors were the smart band style and the participants’ age. The conclusions are as follows: (1) Clear, simple, and consistent operation logic should be established for the interface interaction of smart band products to prevent users from being confused. (2) The combination of visual and tactile sensation and timely and effective feedback are beneficial to enhance the interactive experience of smart band interface based on small screen interaction. The form of touch screen in addition to touch buttons is easier to be accepted by users. (3) The designers should try to meet the needs of various consumer groups, or make choices based on the characteristics of the target consumer groups. Younger people usually hope to get faster feedback, for the older people, on the contrary, too many freedom of operation will reduce usability and cause confusion. (4) Faster operation efficiency may not lead to users’ better system usability evaluation, and the number of misoperations in interaction should be minimized to avoid the frustration and loss of patience.
