The paper discusses the allocation of disturbances in the ionosphere associated with large atmospheric events - tropical typhoons or cyclones. The experimental results of measurements of electron concentration by Langmuir probes carried out on ECA SWARM satellites were used. Selection technique for relative electron density perturbation in the selected frequency band were proposed and substantiated. The paper uses a frequency band equivalent to 15–180 s, which is associated with the characteristic spatial dimensions of the studied phenomenon in the atmosphere, this way allows us to distinguish disturbances from tropical cyclones in the ionosphere against the background of regular changes in the electron concentration determined by the dynamics of the Equatorial anomaly. The results of the calculations show a high correlation coefficient between the data from individual satellites of the constellation and a pronounced relationship between the spatial parameters of the cyclone and changes in the electronic content of the ionosphere.
