• Some might feel a certain sense of disappointment in the inability to provide a definitive identification for the boat. While this might be a natural and understandable response, we are forced to think further. Although the boat cannot be linked scientifically to the Gospel stories or the Battle of Migdal, she speaks volumes on both these subjects. She is, as best we can ascertain, an anonymous traveler from the past: a generic Sea of Galilee fishing boat that lived her humble life—one of effort and toil—on the lake during an era of great events.
