• Modern radiotherapy issues from tremendous evolution over the last years in the fields of computers, imaging and robotics. The optimization of the dose distribution among the tumor target, while simultaneously keeping the dose across healthy tissues as low as possible, results in the renewal of basic radiobiological concepts. The typical example is the rediscovery of hypo-fractionated radiotherapy.
