The Sichuan-snub-nosed monkey (Pygathrix roxellana) is endemic to China, occurring in the provinces of Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi and Hubei [1]. The monkey is a typical arboreal forest-dweller found in montane areas at elevations between 1,500 and 3,500m above sea level (a.s.l.). Its diet is diverse [1-3], including more than 100 plant species; food choice may influence group size [4]. Seasonal change in the diet is common in Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces [2-4].
