• BALTIMORE, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sierra Military Health Services, Inc. (SMHS), announced today that Kathryn S. Buchta, M.D., M.S., CPE, has joined the company as vice president of its medical management division. In this capacity, Dr. Buchta will serve as SMHS' senior medical officer, responsible for quality and utilization management, monitoring patient health care outcomes and ensuring the seamless delivery of health care services between the civilian network and the Department of Defense's direct care system for TRICARE beneficiaries throughout the northeast. "Dr. Buchta's direct experience, from her clinical practice as a health care provider for families in the Military Health System to a variety of operational roles in academic medical centers, will bring tremendous value to our organization and the Region 1 TRICARE Northeast program," said David R.
