Warrington Financial Systems Inc. (WFS), Wednesday announced that it has made disaster recovery and dial back-up available to service-bureau customers of its TRAC product line for securities processing. The services are designed to protect WFS's client from disruption of operations and to enable them to meet regulatory requirements. Both the Office of the Controller of the Currency (OCC) and Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) require banks and thrifts to make formal arrangements for alternative processing capability in the event that their data centers become disabled. Such plans must include provisions for off-site back-up of critical data files, software, hardware, documentation, forms, and supplies, as well as for alternate means of processing transactions.
