Lotus Development Corp. Monday filed separate suits in Boston's U.S. District Court against two California software companies, charging copyright infringement of the company's best-selling software, Lotus 1-2-3. The suits charge that products marketed by Borland International Inc. of Scotts Valley, Calif., and The Santa Cruz Operation Inc. (SCO) of Santa Cruz, Calif., violate Lotus' copyrights in the user interface of Lotus 1-2-3.
