(NASDAQ:OSTN), a $4.4 billion asset diversified financial services company with headquarters in Rhode Island, announced Friday it has acquired Homestate Savings and Loan Association of Hayward, Calif., located in the San Francisco area. Incorporated in 1976, Homestate presently employs 108 people and has 13 offices serving the Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Homestate has been renamed Old Stone Bank of California, a Federal Savings Bank, and will operate as a subsidiary of Old Stone Corp.
