Metrobank Foundation, one of the LCF's initial founders, launched its professorial chairs. Metrobank Foundation signed a memoranda of agreement for the P1.2-million donation to the Ateneo de Manila University for the establishment of the "President Joseph Ejercito Estrada Professorial Chair in Public Service and Governance" and the "President Joseph Ejercito Estrada Professorial Chair in Fine Arts." In the field of education, the LCF also conferred yesterday educational leadership fellowships to selected division school superintendents of the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports (DECS). These school super-intendents have completed the Executive Course for Educational Leaders (EXCEL) conducted for the LCF by the De La Salle University College of Education. Organized by the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF), a network of 46 corporate foundations and corporations doing social development work in the country, the opening ceremonies was graced by former president Corazon C. Aquino as well as the senior officials of the 46 foundations involved with the LCF.
