Beschreibungen/Notizen
Concert promoters are reluctant to sell Western acts in Hong Kong because of little or no profit to be gained. Promoters cite the high costs incurred when bringing in foreign acts. Tickets for Chinese shows rarely cost more than $44, while top foreign names command as much as $70. As a result, most foreign performances in Hong Kong are joint ventures among promoters, as co-promotion is the only way to spread the risks. While the 1st qtr 1993 saw an increase in the traffic of foreign acts, fierce competition for venues and a lack of willing sponsors still prevail.
