- The legendary jazz guitarist Danny Barker, who also made a name for himself as a singer and author, was laid to rest in New Orleans, LA, after a funeral that combined jazz with the Catholic liturgy. The funeral mass was held at St. Raymond's Catholic Church and was followed by a march to the graveyard.
