Bill Jones, vice chairman of O'Neal Industries, Birmingham, AL, was elected chairman of the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI), effective July 1, at the institute's annual meeting earlier this month. Jones succeeds Norman E. Gottschalk Jr, president, Marmon/Keystone Corp, whose two-year term as member leader of the trade association expires on June 30. Michael Hoffman, president and CEO, Macsteel Service Centers USA, will replace Jones as vice chairman of MSCI. Eight other industry executives were elected to the MSCI's board of directors during the annual meeting in Phoenix, replacing eight retiring members.
