• Syngenta, at a results presentation held recently in Basel, said it expects the commercial integration of its crop protection and seeds businesses, a program launched in February this year, to be completed worldwide by mid-2012, six months ahead of schedule. Syngenta says its integrated offer will help growers improve agricultural yields considerably and lead to a major increase in the company's sales and share of the crop protection and seeds markets. The company, as part of the integrated offer, is working with "adjacent" firms such as machinery manufacturers and may widen its collaborations to include fertilizer producers, to serve farmers even better, COO John Askin says.
