• The year 2011 is shaping up to be a banner year for the information industry. According to the recent 1Q 2011 M&A report from The Jordan, Edmiston Group (JEGI), the M&A transaction value for the media, information, marketing services, and technology sectors reached $12 billion in the first quarter of this year. Michael Marchesano, JEGI managing director, says he is upbeat about M&A activity in the Healthcare Information & Technology market, where deal value more than doubled in Q1 2011 vs. Q1 2010, according to the report.
