Beschreibungen/Notizen
A 6-week hypertension campaign, geared for urban Mexican Americans, was analyzed to determine how recipients received health information and to identify communication channels most likely to reach this population. Information sources examined were: doctor, nurse, pharmacist, family, friends, radio, newspaper, television, and magazine. The doctor was the most frequent choice, radio the last. Demographic factors also affected the amount of health information received. Profiles of respondents most likely to use each source of health information and the implications for health educators are presented. (kbc)
