• This paper discusses the various modes of politicization of workers' organizations in large companies in greater Buenos Aires, namely supermarket chains and offshore call centers, through a qualitative approach to methodology three forms of organization are analyzed: a trade union organization of vertical type; a grass-roots trade union organization based at the workplace confronted with the union bosses, and a set of non-institutionalized organizations that confront existing union structures from the outside. The meanings that militancy acquires; the views on local "history," and its links with other organizations; the way in which the capital-labor relationship is defined and conceived, their decisional dynamics; the modes in which the workers as a collective is thought; these are the main problems discussed to make visible everyday polity in the workplace.
