• We have presented a patient with giant CSP and CV, whose behavioral symptoms were improved by a stereotactic cyst-peritoneal shunt procedure. The surgical indications for expanded CSP and CV are believed to be restricted to cases with symptoms of intracranial hypertension, but the condition of our present patient, in whom the cavities developed with 1. 1. unstable gait; 2. 2. behavioral symptoms; and 3. 3. irregular appetite, evacuation, and sleep, was found to be indicated for surgery. Compression of the brain tissue around the expanded CSP and CV (the limbic system, etc.) was considered to be the cause of these symptoms.
