- Studies have shown that a high dietary calcium intake or supplementation can reduce late postmenopausal bone loss. A study evaluating the effects of a focused nutrition education intervention on dietary calcium intake in healthy, free-living subjects aged 60 or older after a two-year follow-up is described.
