• The inside cover picture shows the design concept behind the antitumor and immunomodulatory phthalimides bio-inspired by thalidomide (top). Their immunosuppressor activity is derived from their ability to maintain low IL-10 production and suppress NO, with the advantage of not affecting the immune response elicited by T-lymphocytes.
