• Household budget surveys (HHBS) conducted in the different European Community countries use various methods ingathering information to produce country-specific data that are often incompatible with one another. The development of Eurocode 2 provides these countries with a standard code for food items that can be used in conjunction with HHBSs as the initial step towards harmonizing nutrition survey data.
