• A number of limitations to our study exist, including limited sample of pediatric physicians from a single institution and potential self-selection bias of survey respondents. Pediatric physicians at an academic children's hospital involved in the care of acute asthma exacerbations are largely unaware that the systemic side effects of racemic albuterol are due to its active R isomer, not the S isomer.
