• For many years, medical & human sciences in general have proposed analyses of the consumption of psychotropic products which highlight the bad good reasons for taking them. As an addition to this way of doing things, the article suggests understanding how the architectonics of our contemporary societies could make such consumption increasingly legitimate in the eyes of potential consumers. These societal changes are also approached by observing the changes which are occurring today in the social control procedures of individual behavior. Graphs, References.
