Beschreibungen/Notizen
The common notion of mixedness ("mixite" is often conveyed in English by "hybridity" or "metissage") is examined here from several angles: sociological, political, & linguistic, first through the propagation & circulation of the lexical couple mixed/mixedness (mixte/mixite), in an essay on social etymology revealing the sociological & linguistic tensions at play, then in a discussion of the notion used in a political discourse analysis, lastly in an attempt to present mixte as a potential grammatical gender.
