Personal experience of participating in the summer school "Interpretative Methods," organized by the European Consortium for Political Research & held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, 7 to 17 August 2006 by Dvora Yanov & Merlijn van Hulst from the Free U of Amsterdam, is related. Describing herself as a quantitative researcher of the positivist persuasion, the experience of learning qualitative interpretation methodology based on ethnographic & anthropological premises is shared, & examples of its application in field studies of urban phenomena of the Slovene capital are produced.
