• One of the major polarizations in marriages of workaholic husbands is their pursuing of "The Great American Dream," while their wives are left to pursue the "Petty Realities of Life." This polarization is related to other polarities in these marriages with husbands presenting nice, reasonable, pleasant facades, while their wives present bitchy, angry and/or depressed pictures. Diagnosis and therapeutic issues of this polarization are discussed.
